Plastic 3D Print - Process

In order to produce a 3D printed model of a
segment of my unit work proposal I first had to ensure that the numerous elements of the digital model would have enough thickness (>1mm).

The above screenshots address this process, with my reduction of my digital model in Rhino to a simple and more realisable structure.

Taking this into 3DS max allowed me to then apply an appropriate thickness to each of the curvatures and supportive columns by editting the render thickness of the exported dwg file.

By then converting this to an edittable mesh I was able to export the file into the z-print software in order to prepare the file further.

After selecting a scale value of 0.5% of the real scale model (giving a model scale of 1:200) I was able to edit the file in z-edit to ensure all faces were recognised and printable.

2.99D After Effects - Vanishing Point Experiment

In order to produce a video in After Effects using a vanishing point I first processed my photograph of the Marseille MuCem using Photoshop. In the tutorial we learnt how to use the vanishing point tool in photoshop in order to export PNG files for use in After Effects.

Above is my example of the vanishing point tool which I used in the tutorial to experiment with my site photograph.

Below are a series of screenshots demonstrating the stages in producing the video in Photoshop and After Effects.
